Cowork Home by AURiX privacy

Applies to the browser extension “Cowork Home by AURiX”, version 0.2.0 and later. Made by AURiX. Not made by, or connected with, Anthropic.

Said plainly, before you buy:

The short version

The extension itself sends nothing to us, and there is no server of ours behind it. On your computer, and only there, it handles two things: your claude.ai sign-in and the text of your Cowork sessions. The only thing it ever sends out of your browser to anyone but claude.ai is a Gumroad license key, with the product id, to Gumroad, to check it — and Gumroad, like every website you reach, also sees your internet address. A key made by us is checked on your own computer and sent nowhere. Only when you buy on our site does anything reach us: Stripe takes the payment (we never see your card), and our key server receives just your email address and the purchase record, to send you the key. No analytics, no tracking, no account with us, nothing sold, nothing shared.

What it handles, and where it goes

  1. Your claude.ai sign-in. When you press a button, the extension asks claude.ai for your own Cowork sessions, and your browser attaches its own claude.ai cookie to those requests, the same way it does when you open claude.ai yourself. The extension never reads, copies, stores or sends the cookie itself.
  2. Your Cowork sessions. The list of your sessions and, when you ask it to bring them home, the text of each one, read from claude.ai. The extension writes them as text files into a zip in your Downloads folder (a very large account: several zips, each under 150 MB). It keeps no copy, and sends them nowhere else. It asks claude.ai for nothing but your own sessions: no picture or file is ever fetched; only bytes already inside a session come home.
  3. The list it shows you. Titles and dates are held in the extension’s memory only while it runs, to show you the list. They are not stored and not sent anywhere.
  4. Your license key, if you buy one. The key you paste is kept in your own browser (the extension’s local storage), with the time it was last checked. It is sent to Gumroad (api.gumroad.com), the shop that sold it to you, with the product id, to ask whether it is a good key; nothing else is sent with it: no session, no title, no file. Pressing UNLOCK counts one use of the key at Gumroad; the check at each pull counts nothing. Gumroad sees your internet address with each check and keeps its own records under Gumroad’s own privacy policy. To remove the key, press “remove the key from this browser” in the extension, or remove the extension.

What your own computer keeps

The files. The zips land in your Downloads folder as plain text. Anything you ever pasted into a Cowork session — a password, an API key, a client’s details — is in them. Keep them somewhere private, and check them before you share them.

Your browser’s download history. Like every download, each zip is listed in your browser’s download history: its name, and the start of the zip (written in base64, which anyone can turn back into your words). It stays there until you clear it. To clear it in Chrome, Brave or Edge: press Ctrl+Shift+Delete (on a Mac, Cmd+Shift+Delete), tick “Download history”, and press the button to clear. Clearing the history does not delete the zips.

What it never does

It never reads or changes the page you are on. It never sends your sessions to AURiX, OnwardAI or anyone else. It never runs code fetched from the internet. It never sells, rents or shares anything, and nothing it handles is used for advertising or to train any model.

The use of information received by Cowork Home by AURiX adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Permissions, and why

downloads — to save the zip into your Downloads folder. storage — to remember your license key in your own browser. claude.ai — to ask for your own Cowork sessions with your own sign-in. api.gumroad.com — to check a license key, and only that. While it is installed, the claude.ai permission lets it reach your claude.ai account; it does so only when you press a button. When you are done, you can remove the extension; your files stay.

Paying for it: Stripe and Gumroad

In the United States, you pay through Stripe. Stripe takes your payment on its own page. We never see your card. Stripe keeps the card details under its own privacy policy.

To send you your key, our website receives two things from Stripe, and only these: your email address and the record of the purchase (the Stripe purchase number, the time, and that it was paid). It makes your key, which is checked on your own computer, and emails it to you through an email service. The key itself holds a short scrambled fingerprint of your email, not the address. Your key also shows on the page you land on after paying: that page asks Stripe for the same purchase record, only to show you the key. Only if a setting on our key server is switched on, a copy of each key email also goes to our own mailbox, onwardai.ops@gmail.com; if it is off, no copy goes there. Our server’s log notes the key’s short id, the Stripe purchase number and the country you paid from; it does not note your email address.

Outside the United States, you buy on Gumroad, which handles that sale, your payment and your key under its own privacy policy.

A Cowork Home key made by us is checked on your own computer and is not sent anywhere. A key from Gumroad is checked with Gumroad, as described above.
