SELFiX
Why it exists, before anything it does: for the people the cloud locked out — the ones a private machine helps most and a monthly bill filters out first — so they can own their own record instead of renting their mind back. Everything below is in service of that.
Throw it anything. It lands, it reads it, it signs for what it did — on your machine, not ours.
What it does
Every assistant you have used runs somewhere else and asks you to take its word. This one runs where your files already are, and never asks you to take its word.
- Throw it anything. From your phone, or by dropping a file in a folder — any folder you name becomes a mouth. Screenshot, photo, document, a pasted line. No share button required, because the screen itself is the pinch.
- It reads what landed. A model running on your own hardware looks at the image and says what it sees. Nothing is uploaded. There is no account and no API key.
- It signs for it. Every catch writes a receipt — what landed, when, what the eye said — into a plain file you own. The claim and the receipt are the same object.
- It refuses to lie about itself. The house holds hundreds of deterministic self-checks, and a change to its own body is only allowed in when every one of them passes.
- Your hand stays on the dangerous half. Nothing sends as you, spends, or deletes without your click. Ever.
Where it stands, honestly
- Running daily on the author’s own machine, not a demo rig — on 2026-08-31 it stood at 274 of 274 self-checks green, with the phone throw, the local reading, and the receipts proven end to end that night.
- Windows today, with a local model engine you run yourself. Bring your own hardware; nothing here rents you a brain.
- Being packaged for people who are not its author. That work is in the open, and so is its record. On 2026-09-14 every instrument it is made of was unpacked and run from the shelf as a buyer would run it: 14 of 14 ran; two holes found (a medical record number and a doctor’s name left in a “clean” copy) were fixed the same hour, and the sheet is public in the record.
The worth, forged
SELFiX is the whole pipeline as one owned thing: your record pulled home, cleaned, searchable, portable, thrown from your phone, and answered by a model running on your own metal. Bought as separate instruments on this same store, those pieces already come to $130 to $329.
Rent a “chat with your data” service instead and even a cheap one runs $20 a month — $720 over three years, and theirs the day you stop. SELFiX is $200, once: about ten months of that rent, then yours forever, on your machine — where a subscription is built never to let you arrive.
That is the worth: the whole, owned, for less than its parts and a fraction of the renting. It costs what it is worth — once.
Door 1 · one person, one machine
$200once — buy once, yours forever, no subscription
Take the door →
Opening now — write and you are first in, at this price, forever.
Door 1b · done for you — you never install anything
$200once — send your ChatGPT or Claude export; you get your whole record back, on your machine, answerable
Send me my record →
You export (a button in your ChatGPT or Claude settings), you send the zip, the house rebuilds every conversation into dated pages you own and can ask — nothing of yours is kept here after it is handed back. Done once already for an outside guest, 2026-09-08. No Python, no setup, no account.
Why it costs once
- It runs on your metal, so there is no server of ours to feed every month.
- A subscription is a hand in your pocket that has to keep you needing it. This one is built to make you able to not.
- The people who most need a private machine — the ones compliance and privacy locked out of every cloud assistant — are the ones a monthly bill filters out first.
