A reconciler script written that same morning, capsule_disk_reconcile.py, exited 1 on the offending capsule, surfaced the fourteen-file evidence, and refused the negative claim. The protocol had violated invariant 5 (explicit origin) in its self-description, and the protocol caught it. That is the paper. The flawed premise is what every prior protocol of observation rests on. The inversion is what AURiX makes possible. The cookie banner does not say "you clicked." It says "you consented." Each is a verdict the user cannot audit. The mechanism that produced the verdict is invisible. The interpretation runs ahead of the mechanism, and the gap between them is where harm lives. The premise is not malicious. It is a substrate that became invisible by accumulation. A page with a hidden redirect renders Fracture because the redirect is observable, not because it has been judged dangerous. A user encountering Fracture is shown what fractured and where. Whether to proceed is the user's call. The "before" pivot, surfaced in current/now/scheduled_outputs/discovery_scan_2026-04-27.md:130: "the 'before' pivot consistently separates a structural-quality term (state, structure, mechanism, observation, evidence, integrity, hold) from a commitment-quality term (interpretation, meaning, narrative, action, commitment, continuation, trust). This is invariant-class structure: the protocol pre-empts commitment with a structural pause." The pause is the gift. Every prior premise turned observation into commitment. The list of such domains is the list of domains in which observation matters: web pages, identity systems, archival recovery, attestation, governance, succession, scientific measurement, journalism, healthcare, legal evidence, language acquisition, family conflict mediation, scheduling, hiring, voting, banking, medicine. The architecture is not retrofittable per domain. The architecture is upstream of the domain. Each domain becomes an instance under structural pressure once the inversion is in the substrate of the inheriting system. This is the claim that distinguishes AURiX from a tool.
