What it does

THRATATCHA is the throw — aim + pull + arc as a measurement, first built and dated in the open — turned into a mouth on your own computer that your own phone can throw into. Everything you have been typing into rented machines for years is a record of you that they keep. This is the first inch of keeping it yourself.

• Double-click RUN_THRATATCHA (Windows) or RUN.command (Mac). It prints an address; open it on your phone on the same wifi, add it to your home screen once, and it sits there like any app — served by your own computer, bought from nobody.
• Pinch words, a screenshot, a photo, a copied thread, a file. Aim it at a target you named (work, family, money, ideas — yours to edit), pull, throw. It lands as a dated file in a folder you own, with the receipt of the throw: when, at what, how hard, the arc, from which phone, what.
• Runs entirely on your machine. No account, no cloud, no company in the middle; nothing sends, spends or deletes. Needs only free Python 3 — the RUN file says how if it is missing.
• Proves itself: python aurix_catch.py --self-test throws nine planted throws at a scratch mouth and reports N of N — the same test run on the maker’s machine before every change.

Prove it before you trust a word

Every app that then sends everything asks you to believe “nothing leaves your machine.” Don’t believe it here either — check it yourself, in three ways, before you pay:

• It tests itself. Run python aurix_catch.py --self-test. It throws twelve planted throws at a scratch mouth and reports 12 of 12 — the same test the maker runs before every change. A tool that can’t prove itself says so before you trust it.
• Turn your internet off. Open the page on your phone once, then kill your wifi or go airplane mode and throw anyway. It still lands — because the thing catching it is your own computer on your own network, not a server somewhere.
• Watch what leaves. There is no account to make and nothing to sign into. Nothing uploads, because there is nowhere for it to go. The proof is the absence.

What a throw actually is — and why it is worth paying for

A note app keeps the file and loses the reason you saved it — on their server. THRATATCHA keeps the reason, at the moment you had it, on your own machine. Every throw lands as a dated file you own, carrying the throw’s own measurement:
